TeePee

Don't tell my son, but he is getting this teepee for Christmas. I found it on KSLClassifieds, (a Salt Lake City web site like craigslist). Melissa, the gal selling the teepee, actually makes them and her prices are GREAT - $50 for the biggest one. The Pottery Barn sells a similar teepee for $199.

It looks like the Pottery Barn uses a little higher quality materials but Melissa will sew the teepee out of any fabric that I want and come on it's for the basement!!!

This rocks. I am getting one for the grandparents (for grandkid use) for Christmas. My mom has always wanted a teepee of her own. Emi

I just spoke with Melissa... I too want to go with a heavy-duty canvas, and I'm thinking I really like the wood poles (I will look for some and let you know what I find). Do you want to coordinate efforts so one of us drops off material in Kearns and the other picks up the finished product? Emi

My brother's fiancee's family has a teepee. They cook in it, sleep in it, have parties.... Never ending possibilities. My kids LOVE it of course. You'll get so many uses out of it. They said they sleep in in every weekend, even in the snow. It actually stays pretty warm in there with a little fire... Have fun!
